We love creating vertical (portrait) digital signs!

ARE WIDESCREEN DISPLAYS A THING OF THE PAST?

You have been told over the years that widescreen is better.

And, this is true for a few reasons.

Our eyes are next to each other, (we see more wide than tall) therefore it is a more natural way for a display to mirror how we see the world.

Widescreen displays will fit in better with the other HDTV's in my bar/restaurant.

People are used to them because they have a widescreen display at home.

Creating content for widescreen is easier, so let's just do that.

Oddly enough, the last three reasons are also perfect examples of why you should go vertical.

If you want your promotions on your digital sign to imprint in your customer's minds, then having it NOT fit in will draw more attention to it. If all you see is widescreen, widescreen, widescreen, and then...VERTICAL, it will stand out!

People dont have a vertical display at home. but they do have one in their hand.

When we create a vertical digital sign for you, it is a bigger version of the customer's smartphone. Our eyes are getting used to the vertical style displays in our hands, and therefore a vertical display can be NATURAL. In addition, when we make your promotions in vertical, they will fill the screen in Facebook video, therefore they will get even MORE attention than other things in the news feed.

Other digital signs aren't in vertical because widescreen content is easier to make.

True. If all we wanted is to make money by doing less work, then widescreen would be the way to go. Because we make your custom promos for your digital sign by making them into "tiny movies" we technically have to make the movies twice or the text gets all out of wack. There are easier ways to advertise your specials, but we don't believe they work as well.

A couple more points to ponder....

A vertical digital sign can be installed on a wall where you don't have room for a widescreen display. It can fit behind your bar on that skinny wall or between the darts and the bathroom door. It is a great solution for "I don't have the space."

Now, all this talk about vertical doesn't mean you absolutely should not go widescreen. There are reasons to stay with the "usual" way to do things. You may just have a room that wouldn't look right with a vertical display. You may have a big audio/video switching system that needs to have everything widescreen so it works right. Don't worry, we can still help you get your message across with the same quality that we provide with our vertical signs. Either way, we know we can help you promote your menu and drink items better, get more people to come to your events, and increase the performance of your dart and pool leagues.
